Should you book one micro influencer or four nano ones? Most advice answers with a feeling — "nano creators have more trust", "micro creators have more reach". We answered it with numbers instead: the real rate cards and recent Reel views of the creators we work with, in October 2026.
The measure is cost per view (CPV): the creator's fee for a Reel divided by the views their Reels usually get. It tells you what each rupee actually buys. (New to CPV? Read how to calculate CPV first.)
The short answer
Nano creators deliver the cheapest views by a wide margin.
- Nano (under 10K followers): a Reel costs about ₹2,500 and typically gets about 5,000 views — a median CPV of ₹0.50.
- Micro (10K–100K): a Reel costs about ₹11,000 and typically gets about 6,800 views — a median CPV of ₹1.41.
- Mid-tier and above (100K+): a Reel costs about ₹64,500 and typically gets about 20,500 views — a median CPV of ₹1.11.
A micro creator charges over four times what a nano creator does, for a Reel that usually gets only about a third more views. Per rupee, the nano creator's views cost roughly a third as much.
Why nano creators are so efficient
- Their Reels travel. On our roster, nano creators get a median of 1.36 views per follower, against 0.22 for micro creators. Instagram is still showing small accounts to new people. See followers vs views.
- Their prices are set by follower count. Most creators in India price by followers, and nano follower counts are small — so the price is too, even when views are healthy.
- Their engagement is far higher. Recent posts from our nano creators drew a median engagement of over 11% of followers, against 1.5% for micro creators — see engagement rate benchmarks.
Why micro creators still earn their price
Cheaper views are not the whole story.
- Consistency. A micro creator's views vary less from Reel to Reel. Ten nano creators means ten chances for one to have a quiet week.
- Production and polish. Micro creators usually shoot, edit and script better. For a product that needs explaining, that matters.
- Niche authority. A tech, finance or beauty creator with 40,000 followers is trusted in a way a general account isn't. Tech creators on our roster had a median CPV of ₹5.12, against ₹0.73 for everyone else — brands pay for the buying intent of that audience, not the views.
- Less work for you. One micro creator is one brief, one approval and one invoice. Six nano creators is six of each — unless an agency handles it.
The spread inside each tier
Medians hide a lot. Within each group, the middle half of creators ranged:
- Nano: ₹0.23 to ₹0.89 per view
- Micro: ₹0.52 to ₹3.12 per view
- Mid-tier and above: ₹0.61 to ₹4.91 per view
The best micro creators are better value than an average nano creator, and the worst nano creators are poor value at any price. Comparing individual creators on CPV beats choosing a tier.
What we would book
- A local launch on a budget (a cafe, a salon, a store): four to six nano and small micro creators in the city, staggered over two weeks. Cheapest views, most local, and it reads as word of mouth.
- A product that needs explaining (a gadget, an app, a financial product): one or two niche micro creators, plus Stories from nano creators for reminders.
- City-wide awareness fast: one city page or a mid-tier creator for reach on day one, and nano creators in the week after.
Work out your own numbers
Every creator page on our roster shows audience size, and we track recent Reel views alongside each rate card. Our Creator Rates Report has the live prices by tier. Send us your budget and we will build the mix that gets the most views for it.
