Influencer Marketing Cost in India (2026): What Creators Actually Charge

Nano creators charge ₹2,000–8,000 a Reel, micro creators ₹5,000–25,000 — and usage rights, exclusivity and category can double the bill. The full 2026 picture, and how to pay a fair rate.

Ask five agencies what an influencer campaign costs in India and you'll get five confident, completely different answers. The truth is simpler: rates follow a pattern, and once you know the pattern you can read any quote in seconds. Here is what brands are actually paying in 2026 — and what quietly moves the number up or down.

What creators charge by follower count

These are typical market ranges for one Instagram Reel, the deliverable most campaigns are built on:

  • Nano creators (1K–10K followers): ₹2,000–8,000. Small reach, but the audience is often neighbours, classmates and colleagues — trust is highest here.
  • Micro creators (10K–100K): ₹5,000–25,000. The workhorse tier for most Indian brands — real engagement at a price that lets you book several creators instead of one.
  • Mid-tier creators (100K–500K): ₹25,000–1,00,000. City-wide or niche-wide recognition; one good Reel can carry a launch.
  • Macro creators (500K–1M): ₹1,00,000–3,00,000. Reach buying, essentially — you're paying for distribution.
  • Celebrities (1M+): ₹3,00,000 and up, with no real ceiling.

What does that look like in practice? On the SocialBridge roster in October 2026, the median Reel cost about ₹2,500 from a nano creator, ₹11,000 from a micro creator and ₹38,000 from a mid-tier creator, before GST — inside the ranges above, towards their lower end, because most of our creators work in cities like Nagpur. The live numbers, by deliverable and audience size, are in our Creator Rates Report 2026.

Followers are the starting point, not the price. Two creators with 50K followers can deserve very different rates — the one with 6% engagement and a city-specific audience is worth more to a Nagpur restaurant than the one with 1% engagement spread thin across the country.

The platform and format change the price

  • Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts are the premium formats right now — short video is what every algorithm is pushing, so it's what every brand wants.
  • Stories usually cost a fifth to a quarter of the same creator's Reel rate — on our roster, a micro creator's Story is about ₹2,000 against an ₹11,000 Reel. They work best as a bundle of frames with a link sticker, added to a Reel.
  • Static posts have become the cheapest Instagram deliverable.
  • YouTube integrations (60–90 seconds inside a video) cost less than dedicated videos, which can run 2–4x the integration rate but give you a permanent, searchable asset.

What quietly moves the number

The deliverable is only the base. These are the multipliers brands forget to budget for:

  • Usage rights. Reposting the creator's content on your own brand pages, or running it as a paid ad, is a separate right on top of the post. On our cards it is priced per month: organic use at roughly 45% of the Reel rate a month, and Meta ads at around 90%. Perpetual usage costs far more, so agree the months up front.
  • Exclusivity. Asking a creator to stay away from competing brands for a few months is a real cost to them — expect to pay for it.
  • Category. Finance and beauty command the biggest premiums; a finance creator's audience is worth more per thousand views than almost any other niche.
  • Revisions and scripts. A fixed brief with one revision round is cheap. Open-ended "we'll know it when we see it" feedback is not, and good agencies price it in.

Smaller cities are the bargain of 2026

Metro rates get the headlines, but cities like Nagpur are where the arithmetic gets interesting: creator rates are noticeably lower, audiences are concentrated exactly where a local business sells, and far fewer brands are competing for the same creators. We broke down the local numbers in how much an Instagram Reel costs in Nagpur — for most local launches, three micro creators in the right city beat one macro creator every time.

How SocialBridge prices it

We keep a standardised rate card for every creator on our roster — the rate is agreed with the creator in advance, so there's no haggling theatre and no mystery margin. You tell us the product, the audience and the budget; we come back with a shortlist, each creator's actual rate, and one invoice at the end.

Want to compare creators on value rather than size? Divide the price by the views their Reels usually get — we explain how in how to calculate CPV. And if you're a creator wondering what to charge, try our free rate calculator.

If you're planning a campaign and want real numbers instead of ranges, tell us what you're launching — you'll have a shortlist with rates within 24 hours.
